- If you're a person that has lived on the east coast mostly all of your life.. and thought that California was the land of sunshine and beautiful people.. (thanks to the countless tv shows depicting Orange County) well, you're only half right.. it's not the case up here in North California. And this is how i'm experiencing it.

Wedding at Lake Lure

It was a beautiful wedding for my friends Jon & Brooke on June 1st, 2007. We we're invited for the marriage ceremony & reception. It was a very exhausting day in my sweater & khakis. I'm just glad I wasn't too dressed up in suit & tie. Heh. I was sweating more than Jon at the alter. LOL. I don't think ill be attending any weddings anytime soon.. Heh.. Unless its in Hawaii on the beach :)

A one-of-kind Starbucks building!

Check it out. Only in Charlotte, NC is this starbucks is operating business in a REAL house meant to be lived in. Its like that for all of the houses on this road. Homes converted to businesses (such as dentistry, lawyers, boutiques, etc). The insides of this starbucks is HUGE. They have a large lounging space and a 3 level outdoor patio/deck. They also have space for live musical performers/bands every week!

Carolina Place mall

Its in Charlotte. I found this cool half-zip hoodie at Abercrombie & Fitch which I HAD to get. Lol. It was on sale and in a size 'small'! Score! :D

Gas for under $3 a gallon?!?!?

Too good to be true. We stopped by a gas station here in Charlotte, but we were too late. They were out of regular unleaded gas. Ugh.

Hollister's Sunny San Jaya shirt

Funny that they made it. Sad and pathetic to see some guy wear it around in public..

Starbucks bar

Isn't this cool.. A starbucks with a 6-seater bar table in front of where baristas work. I'm in the first starbucks in asheville, nc. Back when it first opened, the hippies (probably) spraypainted the brick wall of the starbucks bldg that said in black paint "GET OUT". Heh. They're just scared, that's all..

And in all of the starbucks here in ?8 that I've been to already.. They always ask "where do you work at?" I tell em California and they get 'amazed'. The ppl in california don't usually react that way.. Well at least not during my visits. I tell the baristas in NC to go to south california. Not up north.

And if you don't know about what asheville is like.. Well, its in the same category as Eureka.. There are hippies and environmentalists here, but they're more nicer, friendlier, civilized, educated, and hospitable to tourists and locals. Eureka is totally the opposite. The climate here totally kicks ass too. :)

The Faint in concert!

I went to a concert last night after chillin at The Bier Garden, we went to The Orange Peel to see a friend's band that she really liked. And I do have to say, it was pretty awesome. Mixed with techno and synthinizer (i think that's what it is.. Idk) beats, and punk rockin' vocals. And inside the venue, it was like total 'myspaceland' lol. No emos. But there was a bunce of scene kids, guys making out with guys, girls making out with girls, an orgy of people dancing & grinding together to the music. I didn't go crazy as everyone else, I've never heard of The Faint until that night.. So I got loose and danced where I was standing. Lol. Its all about feeling the beat in techno music, and they had it that night. Heh.

Lost my chanel rag..

Dammit. I just realized I forgot my chanel sunglasses rag. The one where you store your shades in. A bag. A rag. Whatever. I think I left it at the bank. I just called jeff's mom to see if they found it and to get it. If they can't find it.. I'm really not worrying about it. Ill just go to a chanel store and ask for another one.. They'll probably give it to me for free, since other sunglasses stores like Oakley give em out. After payin about $500 for these chanels.. They shoul at least give something back. I still have 16 months left on the warranty.. Heh.

On the way to Asheville..

I'm not driving.. Jeff is. In his parents' new van. I just saw a truck driver lighting up his cigarette. And he's driving a gas tanker. Lol. That's like sooo wrong to do huh?

Anyways.. We're in Greensboro, driving thru.. And did you know I'm near McLeansville? That's where Chris Daughtry is from. And his song "Home" just played a few mins ago on my favorite Raleigh radio station G105. That song means a lot to me. Especially coming back here to NC. That song is about nc and mcleansville! Duhh.

Did you know its been sunny here? The temperature has been 75-90 °F. Soo comfortable. As soon as jeff got off the plane at RDU, he switched his jeans for shorts & flipflops! Hahhaha.. I did the same later.. Ahh.. It was soo nice. I don't know why people would want to live in places in Humboldt County? Do you really want to live in depressing weather? At least the ignorant and mean ppl who do love gloomy depressing weather all live in the same place, Eureka. And I unfortunately happen to (and temporarily) live there. Hopefully not for long.. I just wish I could take my friends that I've made in that town and show them the places that they could be living in! Its soo much cheaper here too!

Southernnn accccenttt.

Wow.. Its such a weird feeling to listen to people you used to talk to. I started to have the a southern accent, but when you move to somewhere different, such as north california.. You don't hear ppl with the accent. And I do miss it. And especially the 'southern hospitality' and etiquette. They don't have that up in north cali.

I miss the big beautiful homes here in NC. The property & home we lived in overnight last night was almost the same size as two residential blocks in the town I'm living in, in Eureka. Wow. Doesn't that blow your mind? Hah.

Gettin' some highlights (the previous ones weren't bright enough) but I stayed under the hair dryer thing longer than usual.. And also a little trim to shorten the side and neck area.. Hot huh? I kinda look like Victoria Beckham in pic of me wearing my chanel shades.. Haha. Whatevssss. I love my new highlights! :)

I'M BACK IN NC!!

Finally!! I'm back in good ol' carolina. Don't you north californians confuse 'NC' for north cali. That's an insult to me. And seeing lots of 'ghetto' ppl in Eureka wearing tarheel blue UNC hats and shirts.. I question myself if they really know what a tarheel is and what the UNC 'NC' logo stands for.. I'm probably correct that they assume that NC stands for 'norcal'. Pshhh. Lammeee.

Anyways.. I love NC. North Carolina. I'm back :)
