Lorenzo's Mobile & Online Blog

- If you're a person that has lived on the east coast mostly all of your life.. and thought that California was the land of sunshine and beautiful people.. (thanks to the countless tv shows depicting Orange County) well, you're only half right.. it's not the case up here in North California. And this is how i'm experiencing it.

A shopping trip WITHOUT me?! take me with you!!

well i found out today that jeff is going down to Santa Rosa and/or San Francisco with his coworker, Eric.. (since they're both not working that day)..

i'm pissed! i have to work that day. tomorrrow. i'd like to call in sick, but i'm not that inconsiderate and fake (*ahem..* like some people i know, that i dont want reading this blog of mine).. but whatever.. i'm too good enough for you/all anyways. (but for those that are my friends.. i'm not referring to you, unless you believe i have a problem with you.. then i'm talking about you. indirectly, that is. so don't go crying and telling ppl about it behind my back.)

anyways. where the fuck did that come from anyways? it's a gloomy day today in the beautiful town of Eureka (*note the sarcasm*).. and people tend to get weirder and more tense during this type of weather.

it was hot earlier today after i went to the gym. i even had the windows open just to cool the insides of my apartment. but now it's cold. great. i had to close a couple of windows now.. my body is freezing.

*sigh*... why do people live here anyways? do you really like the constant average temperature of 55-65 degrees year-round? there's only 2 types of seasons here. it's somewhat gloomy/sunny during the summer months... and constant gloomy overcasts with rain 24/7.. it's just rain. i miss thunderstorms. i really wish there were thunderstorms here. and scare off the weirdos living in this town.

you may see me at starbucks with a smile on my face.. happily ringing up customers and making frapps for customers.. but deep down inside.. i'm crying. i'm not fake. i'd tell people straight out and tell them i hate it here. but the difference between me and others is that i have common courtesy. i do respect people and what they believe in. please respect me and what i do. just because i'm in a relationship with another male, doesn't mean you can start talking to me about it.. unless i've talked about it prior. it's disrespectful. if i have told you that he's my roommate, then he's my roommate.. don't twist the words i've said.

wow, how off topic i've become! .. well to get back to what i was talking about.. i wish i wasn't working so i could go shopping. i want to go to Wal-Mart. i want to go to Best Buy. i want to go to Outback Steakhouse. i want to go to Abercrombie & Fitch. i want to GET THE FUCK OUT OF HERE.

but the MOST IMPORTANT and BEST thing about me living here.. (can you sense the oxymoron of this statement?).. is that i'm NOT going to be living here FOREVER. yayyyy!!!

you see, i still have a bunch of optimism left in me.. and once i do leave this place for good, i highly doubt i'll return.. but i'll definitely miss the friends i've made here.. i only wish i could take them the beautiful places i've seen across the country. there's soo much more options than just Humboldt County. i'm definitely going to tell people not to move here.. unless they are homeless, do meth, do marijuana a hardcore hippie, or an extreme liberal, or just plain washed up.. i'd tell them..
"ooh, i know a really cool place that you can live where there are people just like you!! it's in Humboldt County. yeah, no need to thank me.. just leave me alone. bye."
.. as you can already tell.. i'm going through a "i hate eureka" moment. this is very common condition when people that are forced or stuck to live in this place.. either because you met someone that lived here and now in a relationship, you have a well paying job (in which you can't transfer until a certain time and you're counting the days till you leave) (and you guessed it, that's basically what i'm in right now.. haha), you couldn't handle the traffic in the city and there's no where else to go, and college at Humboldt State University. i encounter this condition mostly during the gloomy days.. such as today. it's depressing i know. and which is why the suicide rates are unbelievably high compared to a lot of places. but would you say that this place is slowly dying? one person after the other? i believe so.. the other day i was driving through the old downtown area of Eureka and passed by a car that has driven right thru a metal fence. i saw people crowding around it. and i assumed that the person that was driving wasn't paying attention and placed the car in drive instead of reverse and accelerated like they're the shit to unfortunately drive through a metal fence. this isn't just some wired fence.. this is a tall 5-foot heavy fence. so basically there was a sedan parallel to the road and on the sidewalk. haha. i laughed when i saw it. the people in this town are deteriorating this place every second. i see people throwing scraps of garbage out their car windows.. i see homeless people piling garbage around town and total eyesores of buildings everywhere. there's no contracting. they can't afford it or they're too lazy. they just let (used to be beautiful) victorian houses crumble to the ground as the (once to be colorful) paint withers away in the breeze.

..like the familiar faces (or the infamous people) in this town.. i'm starting to believe that im becoming a 'face' in this town. i do understand that i've offended and started a commotion with what i've said about this town. but do you see me stopping? of course not. with a town full of liberals, you would expect this to occur. and speaking of liberals.. i'm starting to become a little bit more moderate-liberal. extreme liberals just whine. actually the 'extremes' of both sides whine. so it gets annoying.

ok.. enough of this. i usually just ramble on and on about random shit. thanks for reading.. it really means alot to me that people read what i've written. please leave a comment or two if you ever have the need to reply on something i've written.. thanks..

I need a new belt.. and more stuff..

ok.. so here's another item to be added to my wishlist.

i want this Louis Vuitton Monogram Pouchette Belt 30.. it's $380 on eLuxury.. and it's so practical too! i neeeeeeed it. gotta love the pouch to hold your cards and shit.. i neeed it. hehe. man.. i have so much stuff i want to get.. when is this college education going to finally pay off? haha. i want to start working in the fashion industry so i can make more money than i already am!! hehe..
(damn you lorenzo for your excellent taste for expensive things..)

no, seriously.. i would be murdered by my bf for buying expensive things like this. he was raised well by his parents. who could blame them, they were hardworking canadians. but unfortunately (fortunately for me), that my parents have brought me up in a materialistic manner.. we obviously work hard for the amount that we earn and we appropriately spend it on things for a job well done.. get what i'm saying? .. but i do understand it's a bit hard at this point in my life.. i am in college after all.. and the funding is going towards my tuition.. yeah.. but to get back to what im saying.. my bf would rather have me spend a lot of money on a lot of things.. and unfortunately.. most of the things i like are rather expensive.. but not all the time!! .. it depends on where i shop and at what time i do shop.. depending on the right moment..

as for this item on my wishlist.. i'd rather use up the cash i would be saving for the next plane ticket and buy this belt. hehe.

i just don't want to end up in a Louis Vuitton boutique after buying the belt..
"oh shit.. jeff is going to kill me now."
hahahahah... and believe me. i've seen his face of fury before. i even had to return it the next day. oooohhh dammmn!!

i actually bought the bag from Nine West.. i know it's a bit gay of me buying it from a women's shoe store.. but as i descended down the escalator at the Triangle Town Center Mall in Raleigh, NC.. i saw this bag in the store window and ran into the store.. it took me about 20 minutes to decide to buy it.. and eventually bought it. it was like $120.

.. after searching on the Nine West website.. i found the bag.. and used the photo above to post in this entry... and the damn thing is on SALE for $49.99!!! wtfffffffffff. i want it now. hahaha. i really need a new gym bag too. that was the purpose of getting it the first time.. b/c my old navy gym bag is falling apart and i've been using it since freshman year of high school.. which is about 7 years ago i think.. yeah. it's that fucking old. ugh. well i have so much stuff i need.. i could buy em. but it has to go through the other financial department of the relationship first.. and if he approves.. then i can happily get it without hesitation.

*sigh*.. and to think that the single life was hard. hahaha. and speaking of relationships.. it's my 51st month anniversary today!! yayyy! ooooops. actually it was yesterday.. i missed it by half an hour.. heheh. at least today's a lucky day.. it's 7-7-07!! :)

It's so cute! Lol.

My pinky toe all wrapped up is so cute. Hehe. One guy at the office was in awe how my feet were so clean and manicured (or pedicured.. whatever) lol. We'll, I take care of em. Who needs manicures and pedicures when I can do mine even better! :P

Sbux drive-thru in eureka is slow.

No offense to my friends that work there.. But the reason why you can wait probably 20 mins at the end of the line is because of the stupid customers that order multiple and complicated drinks.. And those that do not even know what they want to order when they arrive to the speakerbox. Please get your lazy asses out of the car and go inside. It will make the barista's lives in drive-thru easier and those that want speedy service too.

I love reading!

Can't you see my enthusiasm of reading things that are far from interesting? In this case, philosophy of ethics in business. Shouldn't I be reading VOGUE magazine editorials? Haha..

~Lor

OWWW. i banged up my pinky toe.

UGH. it hurted. i was moving a big boxfan in my bedroom and i accidentally rammed my pinky toe on one of the footposts of my bed.

i was brushing my teeth at that time.. so i couldn't scream. i didn't think it was going to be that bad.. until i went in the bathroom to examine the damage. shit. it was bleeding. and not the gushing everywhere bleeding.. but let's just say it looked like a huge blister filled with blood on the front of my pinky toe. sounds disgusting right? just be glad i didn't take a photo of it. i'm not that sick. hahah.

it hurted like hell when jeff put iodine or some type of medicine on it. i cried. it was that painful. im just glad that it was just skin damage. my pinky toe nail is small enough already (and i know alot of ppl know their's are too) .. so im just glad my nail wasn't damaged at all. so it was wrapped up in 2 bandages and went to bed..

today.. it's alright now.. it's healing i guess. like a blister. it will eventually go away. i went to the gym today and it wasn't the usual for me. i started walking in a limp since i didnt want to apply too much pressure on the pinky toe. but i started doing my runway walking on the treadmill and tried not to think about it too much. and one thing i couldn't ignore was the guys that were checking me out today at the gym. i really shouldn't be wearing my fitted underarmor shirt. lol. but at least my body looks good now. it's on its way for development. i think i lost weight from being sick during the cruise.. b/c my body was totally rocking during the cruise and after the trip. i was like.. where the fuck did these muscles come from? hehe. ok ok.. enough of this.. i got a bunch of philosophy reading to catch up on. wish me luck..

CRUISE PHOTOS!!!

heck yeahh. they're finally up on facebook. but you don't really need a facebook account to view the photo albums.. just click on the links below for the public links:
and here are some of the photo highlights of the trip.. [[the photos are a bit cut off to the right edge because of the way this blog is formatted.. but im too lazy to fix em. just go to the albums on facebook for full photos..]]

.. oh yeah. you gotta love groups of teens in large packs. haha. we definitely caused a commotion on the cruise.. you could simply point us out on the ship as those "filipinos from last night". hahahahah. and in my case, you can just point me out and say.. "that's HIM from last night. omg. he was fucking crazyyyyyyyyyy!!" hahahahah.

to think.. how fabulous it would be during spring break. hmmm.. b/c i remember searching facebook for groups that referenced to our ship, the "Enchantment of the Seas".. and sure enough i found some.. and that's where i found spring break groups on the same ship as we went on.. i'd imagine the ship to be a complete mess afterwards. like all hotel rooms during spring break..

and speaking of facebook.. if you were on the cruise the same time i was.. which was June 23 - 28, 2007 on the Royal Caribbean cruise ship 'Enchantment of the Seas'.. please join my facebook group for that specific cruise: CLICK HERE to view group

i also made a little image for my myspace page.. but for those that were on the same cruise & want it.. u can put it on your profiles or whatever.. just right click and save the image.. etc..

wow.. wasn't this a long post huh? i didnt even expect to type this much anyways.. but hey.. i've been busy.. back to reality right? or is it back to 'abnormal' here in this weird town called Eureka. "EUREKA!!! I found it!!!! .. umm.. actually, nevermind.. u can have it. i dont want it." haha.. damn. i wanna be back on that ship dammitt!!!!! :P

Cruise photos currently being uploaded..

stay tuned..

i'm uploading the cruise photos on Facebook. i haven't uploaded anything on there for a while b/c the java/application that Facebook uses is a bit annoying.. but i think it's just my internet connection.. it's not as fast like being back at college. now THAT's fast internet. i was connected via wi-fi AND 100mbps on cable. currently, my connection is only a mere 54mbps. at least it beats out dial up.

anyways.. almost complete with album #2.. hopefully i can upload it all as soon as possible. i'll post the links and a few good pics on here when im done.

Touring the area.. Again.

When friends and family visit, the only thing we do is to show them the nature vistas and the big redwood trees. This involves a lot of driving around. I happened to tag along for the ride.. For some reason.. Oh. It's b/c I didn't want to stay at home fiddling on myspace and facebook all day. Heh. Now I think of it. I should've stayed :P

At least I'm getting some sleep. I don't really know why I've been so tired lately. I slept early last night till 1am and woke up at 11am or so.. Ehh. I guess my body is still trying to adjust.
