- If you're a person that has lived on the east coast mostly all of your life.. and thought that California was the land of sunshine and beautiful people.. (thanks to the countless tv shows depicting Orange County) well, you're only half right.. it's not the case up here in North California. And this is how i'm experiencing it.

It's really hard to adjust..

From eating whatever and whenever you want.. with friends all around you.. the beautiful and warm waters and locations you see & feel.. and the dancing at the nightclub till 3 in the morning..

wow.

.. and now it's back to reality. to what is 'normal'. but in my case.. back to 'abnormal'. haha.

it's hard to look around and not see the large circular windows overlooking the deck and the ocean as the cruise ship glides in the waters.

i'm still adjusting to being in a room without your body rocking to the boat. it's funny to me. how just standing still in a room and you feel like your still in the boat. my body and mind still needs to adjust. i guess you can call it disorientation.

at least i'm finally sleeping on my own comfy bed & pillows. my teddy bear missed me. my cabin was small. probably about the same size as my bathroom. it had 2 single beds and we freaked out the first day because we didn't realize that 2 more single beds folded out from the ceiling.

i definitely missed starbucks. it's like cigarettes to me. i gotta have one each day. it's my caffeine that i need to make it thru the day.

i guess im just spitting out random things to talk about huh?

my body was actually pretty good during the times i went out swimming on the pool deck. i could've walked around with just shorts and flipflops. it was nice. i had a body. and that's a major plus after seeing a lot of people that were slightly overweight or carrying some extra baggage.

omg. what is wrong with white people? or caucasians or whatever. it's a fucking cruise!! you gotta let yourself live a little! who cares that me and my friends are causing a commotion, running around the ship, laughing our asses off at everything we do, getting drunk every night, and dancing like sluts on the dance floor. me and my crew were sitting in our VIP section and during the Captain's reception, which he bought all of the drinks for those that attended, there was this old middle-aged woman that continuously kept turning around and looking at my friends as we drank and laughed while the captain and his crew were talking. I know it was a bit rude, but hey, all you need to do is ignore us and mind your own business. that's the reason why we were sitting in the secluded rear of the room in our own VIP section. it's a cruise!! the only thing you can do is have fun!

i heard around the ship that there were a bunch of people saying it was the worst cruise ever. and i was like thinking to myself.. "wtf? how could you not like this ship?" i assumed that the majority of those that had a bad experience were white people. caucasians. blah. whichever. i wish i could go up to them and tell them how sick i was. i threw up. and from having that 'hot body temperature while you feel like your freezing' feeling and coughing continuously due to allergies or an irritated throat. give me a fucking break. like if you're complaining about something serious, i can imagine what your going thru. but if you're complaining about other stupid minor things.. then you're just stupid and you should be thrown overboard. enjoy the vacation. don't complain about it.

going on this cruise was my chance to get away from it all. and i did. i loved every second of it. im so glad to meet so many different people on the ship. and the crew members! OMG they are sooooo cool. like Damian, the housekeeper. YO-YO!!! Marc, the cruise director.. Bing-Bong! Tony from India who would love to scrape your crumbs off of your table. hahaha. Nirajh the head waiter.. just like Mirage, now you see me.. not you don't. But I'm still here!! hahaha... and John Travolta from Jamaica. hahahahahah. he will show you his sexy dance for you. ahhahahahahah.

there were so much things to do. it was crazy. i wish i could write about everything.. but i probably have forgotten some of the minor things already.

aside from being sick since day one, i did manage to get cough drops from George Town in Grand Cayman. i went thru a pack a day. haha.

the reason why i was on this cruise is because my family was invited as guests to a nursing school reunion. it's always good to know people.. hehe. i made so many friends and also got to know people better that i've known for a while.

i'm filipino, if you haven't realized it. and yes, i am proud that i do not fit the asian stereotype. the interesting thing about the Enchantment of the Seas ship is that there are about 62 different nationalities of the crew members. it states their nation on their name tags. of course they're going to be crew members that are filipino too and they DEFINITELY hooked us up with lots of stuff. one of them was a photographer that continuously took photos of passengers of the ship where all of the photos can be developed and placed on a wall of certain events. you can purchase each of the photos for $20 each. sounds expensive huh? well, it is if you aren't a filipino. the filipino photographer hooked my parents up with ALL of the photos during the trip (that's about like 10-15 photos) for about $34. Hellz yeah! the regular cost of that would've been $200-$300. that's the difference between white people and filipinos. filipinos are always friendly with each other whenever they pass randomly on the streets of new york or something. you can point out a filipino by the way they look. There are not alot of nationalities in the world that can do that. so yeah. it's pretty good to be a minority at times.

well.. enough of this for now.. i'll update some more stuff when i remember them. and i finally uploaded some photos of the cruise on my myspace page. if you look below this entry, videos i recorded during the cruise..

i really love cruises. i HIGHLY recommend it to everyone. definitely book a vacation on Royal Caribbean on the Enchantment of the Seas ship. the people there will totally blow your mind!!
