- If you're a person that has lived on the east coast mostly all of your life.. and thought that California was the land of sunshine and beautiful people.. (thanks to the countless tv shows depicting Orange County) well, you're only half right.. it's not the case up here in North California. And this is how i'm experiencing it.

Sara Bareilles is from Eureka
yes. THAT Eureka, where i'm currently stuck in.
this is her:
click here to read VH1's artist bio about Sara
and so, people in this town are getting all hyped up about her popularity, saying "oh, she's from Eureka!! blah blah blah." .. no doubt in my mind that she's a great vocalist, but she is one of the good examples i want kids and teens in this town to grow up to be.
....instead of being a pregnant crack whore or pothead.. as what i usually see in this town. and it's sad, and i don't show any pity.
Sara moved to Los Angeles when she was 18 and attended UCLA where she studied and began her musical career. she had an aspiration and it came true.
in the back of her mind as her tour bus travels from city to city.... does she think about wanting to return to Eureka? probably for a show and see family and friends, but is she glad that she left this town? most definitely. and i want to leave this place too. there's just no future for me and anyone with an dream.
give me one good example of potential growth in this area and make me regret what i say. i highly doubt you can think of one. Thanks to all of these hardcore liberal hippies, they just dont want anything to change here, thus it stays the same as small cracks become large enough to be un-fixable. maintenance of new businesses helps the economy. when larger businesses threaten to make smaller businesses actually lose business, that's when it's time to step up and compete, not be lazy.
Sara moved to the city because that's where the money, the people, the success is.
i dont care if you do drugs or have unintentional teenage pregnancy. i advise you not to because if you do eventually get addicted or have a baby, there's just going to be more options for me and others in this world. just say no. Talent can come from small towns such as Eureka, but the only way you can gain success if you bring your talent to a large mass of people that favor your abilities.
think about it.

a little update..
blah.
it's cold. about 50-60 degrees outside. i just came back from Target for necessities (hairspray, conditioner, gum, etc..) bundled up in a scarf, sweater and hat. that's a pretty drastic change from a few days ago when i was down in the southern part of Florida.
I went to Clearwater and Tampa first for Thanksgiving.
Totally went all out during Black Friday. i think my credit card is like almost maxed out. haha.
Later went to Ft. Lauderdale for the remainder of the trip where i visited Miami and my first time to Key West! I took lots of pics, but i dont have time to upload them right now due to the massive workload of assignments i must finish before final exams. blah. i'm going suicidal. have you seen that movie Dead Man On Campus? Yeah, i'll probably end up like that.
I'm tan, from looking at my thighs, it's clear that i got one. i'd show you for a price. hahahah. i'm just jockin' on you. but am i? oh i dont know.
it was hot down in Florida. temperature highs were up to the mid 80's and i loved just feeling the humidity and then getting blasted with cold air with the rental car's Air conditioning.
Did i mention that someone keyed the side of our rental car? LOL. it never ceases to amaze me how idiotic people are down there. I think it was because of those large white barcodes stickered on the side windows. it screams "i'm a tourist or an out-of-towner!". earlier this year back in January, someone broke into our rental car (yes, it did have a sticker on it too) and stole jeff's laptop. It was a few months new and worth at least a $1,000. it was a nightmare to deal with having to cancel our cards and other private information that was stored on it, but the police never found it (he has a new laptop now thanks to his hefty tax refund check). but seriously... something has to happen every time i go down there. but it's definitely not going to stop me from returning tho. i'll just remove that barcode sticker before driving off the rental car lot at the airport. That's a tip for everyone else. make sure you do that.
i need to work out again. i did today. it was brutal. from all of the eating and stuff during the trip, i think i gained a few pounds. i'm up to 141 lbs now. (it may seem small to you, but it's big for me... i made 130lbs my 'average' and normal weight.. but since i've been hitting the gym over the year, i might have to move it up to 135lbs due to the muscle growth i've gained. which reminds me to buy some whey protein supplements at the GNC store. wow, i'm starting to become conscious like my dad a few years ago. haha.
ok so i lied. this wasnt a "little" update, but i'd rather do it as this.
i have a shitload of stuff to type and work on. i so want to quit school after this. but i'm too chicken to do that. haha.
i hope everyone had a great holiday :)

Velvet blazer
I have a shitload of t-shirts that i dont wear (why, because there's no point wearing them here in northern cali compared to when i'd wear a different shirt each day back when i was going to my classes back on campus).
I need a black velvet blazer. I saw a really nice one by Marc by Marc Jacobs.
I think i'll add that to my Christmas list this year. :)
